The events of Clown begin when the protagonist inherits a house after the death of their grandmother. Moving into the property seems like a normal step, and the surrounding neighborhood appears quiet at first. Soon after settling in, however, the character notices something unusual outside the house. A clown stands in the garden, looking toward the building without speaking or moving. When the player tries to approach the figure, it disappears. This unexplained moment becomes the beginning of a series of strange encounters that continue during the following days.

A Quiet Neighborhood With Unusual Sightings

The house and its surroundings form the main setting of Clown. Players spend most of their time exploring rooms inside the building and walking around the yard outside. At first the environment looks normal, but small details begin to change as the story progresses.

The clown does not remain visible for long periods. Instead, it appears unexpectedly in different locations near the house. Sometimes the protagonist sees it standing near the garden, while at other times it can be noticed farther away in the neighborhood. Each time the player attempts to approach, the figure disappears again. These repeated sightings raise questions about the origin of the mysterious presence.

Player Interaction And Exploration

Clown is played from a first-person perspective and relies on exploration as the main gameplay element. The player moves through the house and nearby areas while observing objects and environmental details that help reveal parts of the story.

Common player actions during the game include:

  •         exploring the interior of the inherited house
  •         checking the yard and nearby streets
  •         observing moments when the clown appears
  •         interacting with objects placed around the environment
  •         progressing through scenes that reveal new narrative elements

The game encourages players to pay attention to small changes in the surroundings.

Dreams And Encounters With Others

As the story continues, the clown begins appearing not only outside the house but also in the protagonist’s dreams. These dream sequences introduce unfamiliar scenes that feel different from the normal locations explored during the day. The presence of the clown in both situations increases the uncertainty about what is actually happening.

During the investigation, the protagonist also meets a man who lives nearby. This character may have knowledge about the unusual events surrounding the house and the neighborhood. Through these interactions, the player receives additional hints about the situation.
